Through the YMCA Youth Sports Program, kids learn the skills they need to achieve. They learn teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, they make new friends and, most importantly, they have fun! Youth Sports classes have rolling admission on a month-to-month basis. Program participants can sign up by the month or register for multiple months at the same time. Registration can be done at our Membership desk or online.
As for us at the Y, our sports staff, coaches and volunteers all share a singular vision of helping all youth reach their full potential in life. We leverage the excitement and passion around recreational programming to create a healthy outlet for children to gain new skills, develop a sense of team and connect with positive role models.
Volleyball
Youth Volleyball (Ages 11-14)
Our Youth Volleyball Program at the New Rochelle YMCA provides a fun and engaging environment for young athletes to learn the fundamentals of volleyball while building teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship. Tailored for children of all skill levels, this program emphasizes skill development, game strategy, and confidence, all while promoting a love for the sport. Whether your child is just starting or looking to improve their skills, our experienced coaches are here to guide them every step of the way.
Ballet
Ballet (Ages 3-10)
Through our partnership with Accent Dance NYC, the NRYMCA offers a program designed to introduce children to the foundational elements of classical ballet. The program culminates in a performance where children showcase their newly learned skills to their loved ones.
Creative Ballet:
Typically introduces young dancers to the fundamentals of ballet through engaging activities that develop coordination, flexibility, and an understanding of basic ballet positions.
Ballet 1:
Build upon fundamental foundations, focusing on proper technique, strength, and the execution of fundamental ballet movements.

Skill-Based Basketball Program
Our basketball program is designed for athletes of all levels, from beginners to advanced players. Whether your child is just learning the fundamentals or looking to refine their skills for competition, we provide tailored coaching to help each player reach their full potential.
Our professional coaches offer hands-on guidance, focusing on core skills such as ball handling, shooting mechanics, defense, and basketball IQ. As players progress, they will face more complex drills and game strategies to elevate their performance on the court.
Each athlete receives individualized feedback to ensure continuous improvement. Our goal is to push your child’s skills to the next level in a supportive and engaging environment.

Soccer - Side by Side Games
Small Sided Soccer Games
Players will play and learn in groups - 3 vs 3, 4 vs 4, and 5 vs 5. These small-sided games create a fast-paced & intense environment where players are forced to make split-second decisions. Whether working on improving their attacking strategies or defensive tactics, these games will provide a fun & engaging platform for soccer players to improve their skills & decision-making.
