The New Rochelle YMCA is thrilled to announce $250,000 in state funding, secured by New York State Senator Nathalia Fernandez, to support critical upgrades to the YMCA’s pool and aquatics facility.

This investment will fund a new dehumidifier system to enhance air quality, preserve the pool’s infrastructure, and ensure the Y can continue offering life-saving swim lessons, lifeguard training, and wellness programs for families across New Rochelle, Pelham, Mount Vernon, and surrounding communities.

“We are so grateful to Senator Fernandez for helping us create a safe, sustainable, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors,” said Jennifer Ryan Safsel, CEO of the New Rochelle YMCA.

The grant, awarded through New York State’s CREST Program, will help the Y continue its mission of promoting health, safety, and community for all.
