Universal Pre-Kindergarten

In our UPK program, children will be in contact with highly qualified New York State certified teachers and other caring personnel. Children participate in hands-on activities that encourage collaboration and problem-solving, both in the classroom and beyond. Through strategic planning, teachers provide students a myriad of activities and learning opportunities that include phonics, math, reading, social and emotional life skills, science, social studies, gym, music and arts and crafts.

           After School Programs

When children enter the Y Afterschool program, a whole other world of imagination and growth opens up to them. In addition to supplementing what they have learned in school, they participate in interactive learning models that engage critical thinking skills, get assistance with their homework from trained YMCA staff, have a chance to socialize with each other, and form long-lasting friendships that enhance their development, growth and self-confidence.

           Child Watch and Tot Drop

Child Watch is a babysitting service design to provide a safe, fun environment for children (ages 3 months-11 years) while parents/guardians use the facility.  To ensure the best supervision and safety for your child, the Rye Y maintains a staff ratio of 1:5 with at least two staff members present at all times.
Tot Drop enables members to go offsite while their child is cared for at the Y.
There is a 2.5 hour maximum for both Child Watch and Tot Drop.
